Next time we head over to the Riddle Cemetery, we're going to bring a GPS locator, because future generations will need these coordinates to find the cemetery! Unfortunately, YOU only have these directions:
From Baton Rouge, take 110 North to US 61 Natchez/North (Exit 8B)
Take 61 North (this hwy. will take you all the way to St. Francisville)
After you cross over Thompson Creek into West Feliciana Parish, Nana's house and the Riddle Cemetery will be your first LEFT (La 964). This road is also called the Paper Mill road. There are several paper mills in this part of Louisisana. Just make sure you've crossed over Thompson Creek bridge before you turn left (there is a gas station at the corner of La 964 and US 61).

Go about 2 miles on La 964. You will cross over a little bridge. After you cross over the bridge, make your first RIGHT. This is the hunting camp and Nana's old house. Tell the hunters who you are and where you are going.
The next RIGHT is the dirt road that will lead you to the cemetery and the first fork in the road on your journey. Park your car here. Take the RIGHT HAND FORK (click on image below to enlarge). You will walk about 200 yards to the second fork in the road (see # 6).

At the second fork in the road, take the LEFT HAND FORK (click on image below to enlarge). Take this path another 200 yds. or so until you get to the pipeline clearing.
When you come to this fork in the road, take the LEFT HAND FORK.
Pipeline Right-of-Way – THIS IS TRICKY!!! Mostly because I didn't get a good picture of this shot going TOWARD the cemetery, just the RETURN trip. Where Kent is standing and pointing is the pathway that you will take to get HOME (back to your car) after you've been to the cemetery. Notice that the picture is being taken FROM the pathway that leads to the cemetery. Also notice that you will be crossing the pipeline at a left diagonal. **On your way home, DO NOT take the more travelled path to the left of the deer blind! (click on image below to enlarge)
Cross the pipeline at a left-diagonal.
After you cross over the pipeline right-of-way, you can see the cemetery straight ahead, up the hill (see below). The total walk from your parked car to the cemetery is about ½ mile. (click on image below to enlarge)
The cemetery is just up the incline.
Reverse the directions to get back to your car.
